We moved house recently and in the garden I discovered a big patch of these stunning blue and purple flowers. It's called Cerinthe Major Purpurascens I believe and they are not true flowers - the blue parts are bracts - but they looked stunning in the sunshine. Once again I used what I had learnt on Karen's mixed media course and started with a layer of collaged textures then added lots of water and acrylic inks. Once dry I worked into it with more ink and some Neocolours to try and portray this fantastic clump of plants that was just constantly buzzing with happy bees.
