I also decided to try a different style and medium, working on canvas with acrylics which I have only tried once or twice before.
I went for a walk to Splash Point on a beautiful sunny morning in February - chilly but very invigorating. As I looked back towards Seaford I was taken by the clearly defined shapes made by the sea, the stones, the rocks and the man made structures so I took a photo thinking that it might make an interesting picture. I also decided to try a different style and medium, working on canvas with acrylics which I have only tried once or twice before. So here is the result. It was hard to keep it simple and focus on the shapes without getting too involved with shading and detail. I quite like it but I'm not sure how others would perceive the finished result. Any comments would be appreciated.

I like it too ... it has a very David Hockney feel to it especially the graphic swirls in the water and crashing wave which give nice movement.
